Your network Administrator has blocked you from connecting to this network

Hello all



After (I believe) installing some security update on vista business, I can now no longer connect to any wireless networks. LANs work fine, my UMTS card as well. Just wireless is now blocked by vista.

I can't find where / how to unblock this, and google doesn't yield anything useful either.

Any help anyone ?

If the message reads as your topic title, then you need the net admin. to release your system to access it.

I think most people get this problem by connecting to their own WLAN. So they are the admin and can't contact anybody else.

Unfortunatly most people are the administrator of their own network. So they can't call anybody. :-)

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? There is one in the forums but does not work (type following in CMD prompt window):

netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=infrastructure
netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=adhoc

ANSWER: The commands you typed work, but only if you are in the command window as administrator.
TYPE:
netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=infrastructure
netsh wlan delete filter permission=denyall networktype=adhoc

QUESTION: My laptop blocks networks every time it is turned off and on again.
How can I make the change of this undesired interference permanent?
