CD/DVD drive not shown and not working since removing Nortons.
 
After I removed Nortons anti virus from my laptop, using Vista, my cd drive not only will not work , it's not listed anymore.

I can not find ADD Hardware on Vista so I can try reinstalling my cd drive,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,HELP!!!!!!

Norton can cause many problems, especially with removal. Can you tell us what type of hardware you're using? Desktop, laptop - built by a company like Dell or HP or Toshiba? No name or home built?
